So now that all the craziness that comes with Christmas has settled. (and with that I hope you all had a joyous holiday) It's a Dawning of a new day, a NEW Year is fast approaching with a New Year always comes the list of this we wish to do differently. I am no different there are many changes I wish to make each year and normaly do not achive. So this year I am going to take notice of the things I was able to inprove upon and cheerish thoses changes. And hope to continue with those in the new year.
1. My ability to bite my tongue.
With age comes knowledge and I am learning that just because I think it doesn't mean it needs to be said. No matter how despretely I may believe to be otherwise.
This past year I have done better at this. I said better not that I am now nice as can be, because that would be a lie. But I continue to work on it daily and believe myself to better this year than last and I hope I can say the same next year..
2. Putting my Husband first in my family.
This is something that was hard for me. Go ahead judge if you wish but It was something I truly had to work on. You see I come from a very close family. I am close with a good chunk of my cousins, more so then some are with their siblings. So I have a very large family and was raised that family comes first. So when anyone needed me, I would drop everything which is fine but I would do it without considering how this all effected my poor husband who grew up an only child with no close family. This was something he just didn't understand. So it made him feel as if I put everyone before him. So this year I strive to aim to find a healthy comprise between not jumping at everything and taking more time to discuss things with my husband. It's a work in progress and something I have to really think about because I put my husband first in my heart but I have to think of how my actions make him feel.
3. My Health, though my weight does not show it yet, I have been slowly learning more about what food is and what it should be. In other words the crap I have been putting in my body for years is really not food/fuel for my body at all. So I hope to slowly put more of the lessons I'm learning into practice for me and my family.
What are your goals for the new year, and what positive changes took shape in your life in 2011????

If you are Happy and You know it....
Worlds Worst Blogger Reporting For Duty
So things have been rather busy in my neck of the woods and well when things get busy I don't blog. I just read y'alls. It's more fun for me. Sorry
So the holidays have begin in our household since we do christmukah, we lit our first candle last night. I also got to give the hubby his bottle of wine I've been hiding. Cakebread (ahh his favorite)
with it being 70 bucks we only get it on holidays. He got me a little astros gnome...it was perfect.
We kinda already gave each other all our presents. I mean they didn't even get wrapped. We just get excited and can't wait so we exchanged gifts two weeks ago. (I know the horror) We are in some serious trouble when we have kids.
Oh and on our adoption front we had a set back. It seems that since we are wanting to adopt under 6 years old the state is asking we go through a private agency versus Foster care. Unless you are willing to foster a child and not just adopt they really need to space for those willing to foster adopt.
For those who don't know that means you risk the child going back to their parents or another family memeber.. which is great but I just don't know that I am strong enough to do that just yet. I would become attached and it would kill me. I mean I have three dogs and a horrible cat because I cant stand the thought of them not having a good home.
So we are now interviewing agency's and trying to get a plan in place for the begining of the year. It's tough with us being of two different faiths but so far we have found two agency's willing to work with us with that aside. If you are in houston and know of a good agency let me know we can use all the help we can get.
What else is new.... hmmm hmmm hmmm
My clean eating changes are coming along and I'm down a solid 10lbs and with the traveling and holidays I'm just happy to keep those off till the new year then hit it hard again. It's tough putting new habits in place with the food that comes along holidays.
I hope you are all having a wonderful holdiay season, this one is tough for our family with the loss of Carson and all that is still going on with my aunt so I ask if you could keep us in your prayers.
With lost of love and warm wishes to you all, happy holidays

Lets talk Football plus Giveaway Winner
Okay so I'm back from my trip and let me tell you it was just about the sadest trip ever. I pray none of you ever have to attend a childs funeral but that is another post entirely.
This post is about FOOTBALL! Okay I know several of my followers are from Houston and if you are a Texan fan I'm sorry but this really needs to be said Cowboys fans do not care about the Houston Texans. We are not rivals and for that alone WE DON'T CARE! If you are not in my division or unless I'm playing you for the moment I just don't care. Hince why I don't talk trash to the Saints, Titans cause in unless its the Superbowl and we are both there it just doesn't matter. I think its great they finally had a good year and were able to do it with all the injurys they've had. Now if you are a Giants, Redskins, or Eagles fan Bring it! You I care about. It just gets old hearing people try to trash talk my team when I don't really get it why. We play each other every 4 years and you really need to beat us in a game that counts to trash talk. Football is one of those thing where luck really does play into some parts because you can get lucky with an easy schedual or get screwed. Not saying the Texans don't deserve to take there division and move on to the playoffs cause I do but just shut up already about the Cowboys.
Moving on to the fact that I'm getting really pissed about seeing the Cowboys lose every year to the Stinking Giants. I'm not a manning fan so it really bust my chops that so far we haven't had a win in Cowboys stadium. Which SUCKS BIG TIME when you go with Giants fans. See our tailgate is The tailgate to be if you are a Giants fan. These guys get together everyweek to watch the game and there are about 50-60 of them. At the game we had well over 100 and that inculded the License Plate guy (Joe), Two players wives, and one players parents. Which I will say were all very nice people even to the two Cowboys fans. These guys are friends and we have been tailgating with them for about 6 years now. Great Guys so if you are a Giants fan in the Dallas/Ft Worth area you should look them up. http://www.bigbluedfw.com/2011/10/g-men.html

How about them Cowboys...
Today I am in Dallas for our annual family get together of the Cowboys vs Giants.
Husband =Die Hard Cowboys fan
His Uncle Mike = Die Hard Giants fan
Mike lives in Dallas so each year when the Giants come to town we all meet up and go to the game together.
The funny part is we tail gate with about 20-30 Giants fans at Cowboys Stadium.
It makes for some fun interesting times to say the least.
So today I am freezing my butt off tail gating and having a BLAST.
GO COWBOYS!!!!
I promise to post a recap of the adventure when I get back.

I have a Secret!
Okay Please Please don't judge me for this but I have to tell y'all one of my favorite things about the holidays.
Okay so I really really love
Lifetime and Halmark Christmas Movies.
Seriously my husband hates this about the holidays but I could sit curled up on my couch watching them all day long. They really do make me happy.
It's sad isn't it?
He tells me all the time how he used to brag about how his wife didn't watch Lifetime or all that "crap" as he calls it. Which is true for the most part expect when the holidays roll around I turn into this huge sap and want to watch every last one of them.
Are we still friends?
Does anyone else share my love for cheesey holiday movies?

A day of Infamy- F.D.R.'s speech
Dec 7, 1941 is a day that shall not be forgotten
Please take a moment and say prayer for all the souls lost and for those currently surving our country.

Pearl Harbor Speech by F.D.R. to the Congress of the United States
Yesterday, Dec. 7, 1941 - a date which will live in infamy - the United States of America was suddenly and deliberately attacked by naval and air forces of the Empire of Japan.
The United States was at peace with that nation and, at the solicitation of Japan, was still in conversation with the government and its emperor looking toward the maintenance of peace in the Pacific.
Indeed, one hour after Japanese air squadrons had commenced bombing in Oahu, the Japanese ambassador to the United States and his colleagues delivered to the Secretary of State a formal reply to a recent American message. While this reply stated that it seemed useless to continue the existing diplomatic negotiations, it contained no threat or hint of war or armed attack.
It will be recorded that the distance of Hawaii from Japan makes it obvious that the attack was deliberately planned many days or even weeks ago. During the intervening time, the Japanese government has deliberately sought to deceive the United States by false statements and expressions of hope for continued peace.
The attack yesterday on the Hawaiian islands has caused severe damage to American naval and military forces. Very many American lives have been lost. In addition, American ships have been reported torpedoed on the high seas between San Francisco and Honolulu.
Yesterday, the Japanese government also launched an attack against Malaya.
Last night, Japanese forces attacked Hong Kong.
Last night, Japanese forces attacked Guam.
Last night, Japanese forces attacked the Philippine Islands.
Last night, the Japanese attacked Wake Island.
This morning, the Japanese attacked Midway Island.
Japan has, therefore, undertaken a surprise offensive extending throughout the Pacific area. The facts of yesterday speak for themselves. The people of the United States have already formed their opinions and well understand the implications to the very life and safety of our nation.
As commander in chief of the Army and Navy, I have directed that all measures be taken for our defense.
Always will we remember the character of the onslaught against us.
No matter how long it may take us to overcome this premeditated invasion, the American people in their righteous might will win through to absolute victory.
I believe I interpret the will of the Congress and of the people when I assert that we will not only defend ourselves to the uttermost, but will make very certain that this form of treachery shall never endanger us again.
Hostilities exist. There is no blinking at the fact that our people, our territory and our interests are in grave danger.
With confidence in our armed forces - with the unbounding determination of our people - we will gain the inevitable triumph - so help us God.
I ask that the Congress declare that since the unprovoked and dastardly attack by Japan on Sunday, Dec. 7, a state of war has existed between the United States and the Japanese empire.
